Glossop SNT - School Engagement/Lunchtime Drop-in Session
PCSO Buller of the Glossop Youth Engagement Team (YET) completed a lunchtime drop-in session at St Philip Howard CVA, Sunlaws Street, Glossop today, Friday14th November.
Today is the last day of ‘Anti-Bullying Week 2025’ - which has been running from Monday 10th November until Friday 14th November.
The visit today allowed the team to display information about ‘Power for Good’ with the focus on how we can actively use our Power for Good, and what we can do to stop bullying.
▪️ If you need ‘HELP’ or advice about bullying see the attcahed poster ▪️
The visit was also an ideal occasion to complete some Derbyshire Talking Youth Surveys with some of the students during their lunchtime break this afternoon.
We took the opportunity to promote the upcoming 🔪 ‘Operation Sceptre’ 🔪 which is the national, coordinated police initiative in England and Wales to tackle knife crime - through a combination of targeted operations, education, and community engagement.
The week-long campaign beginning on Monday 17th of November and ends on Sunday 23rd November - involves all police forces working to remove knives from the streets, deter carrying knives, and educate the public, particularly young people, on the dangers of knife crime.
Thank you from the team to the headteacher and staff for accommodating the visit today and especially to the young people who completed youth surveys and engaged with the team.
